Jimi Hendrix Psychedelic Rock and Roll Tie

The Jimi Hendrix studio album Are You Experienced debut in 1967 and became the hall mark of the late 60s psychedelic Rock and Roll.

Hendrix's mainstream professional career lasted only 4 years from 1966 with the release of his first album "The Jimi Hendrix Experience" in England.  Linda Richards, wife of Kieth Richards of The Rolling Stones discovered Hendrix in NYC which led to his appearance on the British Rock and Roll Scene.

Within months he had three top ten hits in the UK; Purple Haze, Hey Joe, and The Wind Cries Mary all part of "The Jimi Hendrix Experience" album.

He performed at the Monterey Pop Festival in 1967 creating great fame in the USA. His third album "Electric Ladyland" reached number one in the US   For that time period he became the world's highest paid performer.  His performance on the 3rd day of the Woodstock Music Festival featured a controversial rendition of the Star Spangled Banner.

Returning to the UK afterwards he performed at the Isle of Wight Festival before his accidental death on Sept 18th 1970 at only 27 years old

The "Fab Four" was the greatest pop music act ever.  It is no wonder that Beatles neckties are collector items. They started what would be known as the "British Invasion" not only all music to this day still but as well influenced fashion, hair styles and the way young people thought about the world. Beatles ties are cool.

In 1960 four young men in Liverpool England formed a rock and roll band that swept the world with what would be called "Beatle Mania" and changed the way young people everywhere and would alter music forever. John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ring Starr became the most successful acts in the history of pop music. Originally their 50s style rock and roll created a sensation that would never be duplicated and later their pop ballads, intense rock with their songs eventually becoming quite sophisticated.

In 1962 the first big hit in the United Kingdom was "Love Me Do," with the band crossing the Atlantic the following year to appear on the Ed Sullivan Show. They became the first rock group to be highlighted in full length feature films with a Hard Day’s Night first,  The Beatles Help, Magical Mystery Tour, The Yellow Submarine, and Let It Be. That adaption of music in film became the driving force of today's music videos. In 1970 the band broke up after a decade of making music together.

in the early 90s by the Manhattan Men's Group. Ralph Marlin also created wonderful novelty theme music Beatles ties with photo quality images and neckties illustrating the Yellow Submarine and other album themes both on silk and poly which were sold until 2002 when they were discontinued. Elvis Aaron Presley was born in Tupelo Mississippi on January 8, 1935. His twin brother was still born leaving Elvis to grow up as an only child. Elvis's music influences were pop and country, church gospel and black rhythm and blues. Discovered in 1954 by Sun Records of Memphis as a truck driver, he was an instant sensation worldwide. RCA Victor bought his contract soon afterwards.

His talent, good looks, sensuality, charisma, and good humor endeared him to millions, as did the humility and human kindness he demonstrated throughout his life. Known the world over by his first name, he is regarded as one of the most important figures of twentieth century popular culture. Elvis died at his Memphis home, Graceland, on August 16, 1977.
