Why Wear a Suit and Tie

Why you should wear a suit and necktie, I could not have said it better myself.
Entrepreneur Magazine,  ... you never get a second chance to make a first impression.

I found this cool YouTube Video that illustrates wonderfully the reason why a man should wear a suit and tie.   This popular YouTube Channel has a real genuine method of getting his point across, which is realized when Winston, the YouTuber tells a story about his experiences regarding his attire when he worked for a big company in South Africa.

The bottom line as he explains it has he never received any respect because he dressed casually.  That changed when he showed up wearing a suit and tie purely by mistake as he was to attend a Wedding later that day.  From that day forward he wore a suit and tie to work. He calls it having respect for his clients which in turn earns him respect.

Additionally, here is another opinion with great authority from Entrepreneur Magazine.  Note to business people everywhere, even you casual Californians: Don’t show up for a business meeting in flip-flops, shorts, and a hoodie. Like, ever, man. Suit up and dress like the professional you are or aim to be. Because, as the tried-and-true adage goes, you never get a second chance to make a first impression.  Read more at Entrepreneur -  How to Dress for a Business meeting. Yes, Seriously.

How Should a Giraffe Tie His Necktie

How should a giraffe tie his tie
How should a giraffe tie his tie
Well, to start with a giraffe should tie a Windsor Necktie Knot regardless of where on his long neck he ties his knot. The Windsor Tie Knot is simply regarded as the most attractive and classy way to tie a tie - it's the symmetrical shape and the sexy dimple that the knot creates.

I came across a website for Colorado 9News from November 30th, 2016 that had a most interesting post concerning neckties.  The title says it all; "How Should a Giraffe Tie His Tie?"

The origin of the question regarding this novel fashion statement was from a funny tweet "When giraffes go to work do you think they put the tie at the top or bottom of their necks? Asking for a friend"  You can see the funny tweet from comedian Jeremy Hammond from Brooklyn by clicking the link above.

It was under the heading "A Random Internet Debate" which clearly made a point that the nation is so divided over the Presidential Election that maybe this would be a fun diversion.  I could not have agreed more.  To serve the purpose of taking a break this topic otherwise seems irrelevant   Surprisingly though this subject is hardly meaningless if you take into account the decline of sophisticated apparel for men and the apparent serious interest that this tweet garnered in neckties and how and why they should be worn.

The tweet and the follow-up articles on web blogs and websites, on radio talk shows, and television reports went viral. Among the traction that this Tweet received included The Huffington Post, BuzzFeed, Fox News Insider, Reddit, and Mashable, and much more Internet and traditional news outlets. There is possibly a deeper reason for the interest beyond having some fun - apparently there is an interesting underlying sociology impact here.

USA Today did a fairly extensive article on this topic which included some critical fashion critiquing. ".... Most ( people ) have concluded that they would wear the tie at the bottom of the neck, because that’s where a human wears a tie. And a dress shirt goes to the bottom of the neck, so if a tie is placed under the collar, the answer would have to be the bottom of the neck.  My colleague Ted Berg brings up a rather compelling counterpoint: Maybe they make different shirts for giraffes. It’s an interesting theory, but has been debunked by this very scientific photo of a giraffe wearing a collared shirt:." read more here - USA TODAY, The Internet is locked in an intense debate on how a giraffe would wear a neck tie

Oddly enough, I have thought about this before. About three years ago, I had discovered a very special television commercial for Marriott that cleverly expressed the notion of a giraffe tying his tie as an obscure method of representing what a businessman's needs are concerning comfort when it comes to hotel accommodations.  I posted the commercial as I thought it was worthy of being on my blog for fun without realizing the implications that a giraffe having to tie a tie was as a metaphor for many men and their frustration with knotting neckties and otherwise being professionally prepared for serious business.  You can see the commercial here A Giraffe Businessman Ties his Tie For Work.

It is their long necks that make them such a spectacular sight, and as well their out of the norm physique that
What if a giraffe  wore a suit and necktie
creates their unique needs for comfort.  A bit extreme as a comparison to a businessman's desires.  Not so -someone and some marketing firm were paid big bucks to create this campaign for Marriott and the very smart people at Marriott bought it which quite creatively gets the point across that Marriott Hotels are perfect for businessmen or in the case of the commercial -a business-giraffes.

The reaction online as to how a giraffe would tie his tie is quite remarkable. It is not such a stretch to consider this academic rather than just a novelty topic. Reviewing the many comments and some of the blog articles revealed an ingenious approach to answering the question. Specifically, the article in USA Today by journalist Steven Ruiz which points out that tying a tie is a very demanding task and getting it wrong can be embarrassing.  To be clear about this point just think about the press coverage President Trump received when his tie was tied way too long at his inauguration.  He was ostracized by many mainstream media journalists and condemned as a man that was careless about how he grooms himself and not being kept - therefore not worthy of being president. If a tie is tied too short a man will look fat and stupid and if it is too long he will get the similar wrath that President Trump received when he tied his tie long enough to pee on.

I took the time to create some really nice Photo-Shopped images that emphasize both neckties tied high up the neck under the giraffe's chin and lower just above the giraffe's shoulder line. I even created a photo of a giraffe wearing a suit and tie which suggests making it more sensible that a giraffe would not tie his tie below his chin because this would make his wearing a suit and dress shirt with his tie impractical - unless he had his shirts and suits with exceptionally wide collars. That would be a really unconventional and uncomfortable shirt and suit to dress in. Neckties and dress shirts often with suits are more or less inseparable.  The collar factor was repeated several times in comments when a rational process of thought was applied to answer the perplexing question for giraffes and their wearing ties.

So, the funny tweet actually has some merit to it considering the giraffe's lengthy neck. Let us not forget that the giraffe has to get it right just like a man does when he ties his tie.  Whoever dreamt up the Marriott television commercial had a similar thought when creatively using a giraffe as an example to convey that the Marriott has accommodations that are very comfortable and easy to feel at home in.

If you watch the video the giraffe ties his tie right in the middle of his neck, go figure!  The photo below illustrates giraffes trending wearing ties below their chin and just above the shoulder.

You can comment which is your favorite concept for giraffe necktie fashion.  Across the Internet, there is an overwhelmingly amount of votes for giraffes to tie their ties just above the shoulder.
When giraffes go to work do you think they put the tie at the top or bottom of their necks?

What if a giraffe favors bow ties - how would he wear it, high or low on his neck?  I am sure, that would further complicate the debate.

Additionally, I have a page on my retail website that is home to a creative collection of my original art that I call Neckties In Photo Art ( click this link ) that includes a tiger wearing a necktie, and a Gorilla wearing a tie.  In both cases, these dapper jungle beasts are wearing suits and ties which made sense to me and gave me the insight to having a giraffe wear a suit and necktie.

Guinness World Record - The Most Tied Neckties In One Minute

The most "Four In Hand Necktie Knots" tied in one minute

Believe it or not ( Knot ). It's the Official Guinness World Record for necktie tying in one minute - 13 ties tied.

In 2008 on the set of Zheng Da Zong Yi - Guinness World Records Special in Beijing, China, Yu Zhenzhen (China) secured a record for the most neckties tied with a four-in-hand knot in one minute.  The Four In Hand Tie Knot, also known as the School Boy Tie Knot and the Regate Tie Knot, is the most necktie knots tied in the world because it is a fast process and simple method to learn. In fact, 85% of the neckties tied everyday are tied using the "Four In Hand" tie knotting method.

The previously record for the most neckties tied with a four-in-hand knot was 9, achieved by Sarah Redding (Germany) on the set of Guinness World Records - Die Grössten Weltrekorde in Cologne, Germany a few months earlier.

The Four In Hand Tie Knot
The name Regate Tie Knot follows a fashion trend set by French Yacht racers who favored this tie knotting method.  French fashion designer Pierre Cardin favors this tie knot as it is narrow and compliments his favored design in shirt collar and jacket lapel width. The name School Boy Necktie Knot is the result of young men in school preferring this tie knotting technique because it was easy to learn. The name Four in Hand Necktie Knot found its origin and name as that members of the Four-in-Hand Club in London began to wear their neckwear in this manner of knotting, making it fashionable.

A necktie knotted in this method is narrow, asymmetric, and appropriate for most, but not all occasions. When tying the Four In Hand Tie Knot you will need to make adjustments when you are finished to make sure that is not horribly crooked.

Why President Donald Trump Wore a Red Necktie for the Inauguration

President Donald Trump at the inauguration
ceremony in Washington DC
President Trump wore a red tie on Inauguration Day because it presented him with the look of ultimate authority. Red ties are power ties.and if there ever was a guy and a time to wear a red tie this was it. He is a tough guy and takes no flak from anyone - to say he has enduring pride would be an understatement.

The color red illustrates confidence and aggression therefore with the commencement of taking on the responsibility of being the 45th President of the United States wearing a red tie would seem to fit the bill - certainly for President Trump.

This president has been underestimated and slandered by the mainstream media creating false news providing a great deal of miss guided ill-faith with many Americans. The Democratic Party just will not accept the loss of the election which was due to the fact that their candidate was not qualified.  Hillary Clinton is just not liked and not trusted by a majority of Americans which seemed to become a galvanization across the nation as her email scandal-plagued her.  The releasing of emails included very damaging content from her private server, the Democratic National Committee, and her campaign manager John Podesta that somehow were hacked or leaked and then released by Wikileaks painted a very unflattering insight into who and what she is.

The man who was democratically elected to lead the United States for the next four years had to endure something that no other president-elect has had to bare regarding the transition of power.  If he wore any other color necktie he would be in effect surrendering to the apparent conspiracy by the conservative left and other people in government especially the Democrats and certainly the biased mainstream media outlets that were relentless in their assault on him.

Check out our previous post earlier today about red neckties Never Wear a Red Necktie Unless...

Obviously a Photo-Shopped image of
 President Trump's extra long necktie
The Internet and many non-virtual media outlets were ablaze with commentary concerning President Trumps red satin silk necktie, namely the length of it.  The wide blade of his tie extended well below his belt which is the rule of thumb for a correctly tied tie. Twitter posts were abundant with many "haters" relishing in the fashion blunder. No doubt most of the Twitter critics have no idea how to tie a necktie which makes them non-credible fashion critics.  Some media reports were critical about President Trump's choice of wearing a red tie one calling it an "angry red tie."  I guess some were offended by the message that the red tie was conveying.  No doubt liberal journalists ( especially CNN correspondents ) just do not like President Trump and are probably a member of the "Not My President Club."

Read a post on Live Science Web Site  Red vs. Blue: Why Necktie Colors Matter

A Google Image Search of presidential inaugurations dating back to JFK in 1961 yielded only one president who wore a red tie at the swearing in ceremony. Barack Obama wore a red tie for his first inauguration in 2009. He certainly did not have to cope with the negative aspect of President Trump's transition so presumably he wanted to make a statement that he was strong and going to be in charge of the government. The 43rd President of the United Sates, George W. Bush wore red neckties on white shirts for every major speech in the beginning of his second term - he made sure he was taken seriously.

I would imagine that President Trump will opt to wear his signature red necktie often especially when he feels like he just is not getting treated fairly by the press or political adversaries.

Never Wear a Red Necktie Unless ...

...you want a lot of attention.
However, be forewarned.

Wearing a red tie may not always
be such a good idea

Never wear a red tie unless you want to convey a message that you are aggressive and over-confident.  If you are dressing for a job interview you could shoot yourself in the foot if you wear a red necktie.  For instance interviewing for a car salesman position sporting a red tie would make the general sales manager feel threatened thinking that you are too self-assured and his job could become your job

.
A new study by researchers at Durham University found that wearing red illustrates anger and a dominant character.  Men are offended by other men wearing red as being domineering, however, women do not react the same.  By contrast, women are attracted to men adorning red ties or clothing.   The study found that red has a subconscious effect on the brain that is useful for conveying potency but less effective if the aim is to evoke trustworthiness.  The color red is the color of passion, and lust which explains why woman are attracted by it.  Men wearing red are very sexually desirable to women.  Wearing red will make you stand out in a crowd which makes it a likely choice of garment color by extroverts.

When confronted about his choice to paint
his airplane red, Baron Von Richthofen exclaimed,

"I do not want them to surprised,
I want them to be scared." click to watch the trailer

In nature many animals display red to ward off competitors. This is a trait that is apparent in the human species as well. The WWI German ace pilot Manfred Von Richthofen - the "Red Baron" shot down a record 80 planes.   When he was confronted by other pilots in his squadron complaining that his choice to paint his Fokker Dr.I triplane red as it was hardly stealthy, he acclaimed that he did not want to hide - he wanted the enemy to be scared.

Matadors use red capes when fighting bulls, however, a common miss belief is that red makes the bulls angry - the red capes movement does cause the bull to become aggressive.  Bulls are color blind so the red cape has no effect on the bulls however it surely has an effect on the crowds in the bull ring.  A display of confidence could hardly be greater for the matador as he artfully used the red cape to taunt the bull causing distraction creating an advantage for the matador.

Bulls are color blind so the red cape has no effect

Consider Superman wearing a blue cape or worse pink. Do you think he would command authority in the least? Anything red illustrates strength and commands attention. The saying, "seeing red" indicates having the emotion of anger, which by error was coined due to the misunderstanding that the bull becomes fierce at the sight of the matador's red cape!  Never-the-less the color red is firmly rooted in language slang as an expression of rage.

If you are a ladies man or you feel up to intimidating men with the self-conviction of an abundant ego then wearing red neckties is for you.  Otherwise be duly warned about what the color red says. You may be commanding the appearance of being too audacious for a social event or for being trustworthy and personable to get the job.  On the other hand, if you can walk the walk and talk the talk you may be so cavalier as a knight slaying all adversaries in your endeavors.  Add some unyielding charm and you will get the killer babe which in many cases is a greater accomplishment than getting employed.

In 1965 The Rolling Stones Were Asked To Wear Neckties By the Royals and the Illuminati

The Rolling Stones were asked to wear neckties in 1965 to create a demand for ties by young men as the neck wear industry in England was failing.

The Tailor and Cutter, a British menswear magazine, issued a plea asking the Rolling Stones to wear ties and save the necktie industry.  Almost certainly this request was part of a much greater controlling force that by design had more than just an influence in apparel as an agenda.

The music and the dynamic character of the rock and roll bands that made a great impression on the world and especially the United States in the 60s was not a mere happen-stance.  At the very least the Beatles and the Rolling Stones were a product of social engineering which controlled the population in an almost "science fiction" like manner.  An attempt to create a fashion statement while coming to the aid of a faltering fashion industry was probably not the main reason that Mick Jagger and fellow band mates were encouraged to wear neckties,.rather this was part of a grand process of cultural shaping and society discipline by an agenda executed by the world's elite.

The Tavistock Institute of Human Relations in Sussex, England, is the world’s center for mass brainwashing and social engineering activities (LaRouche.com, 1980). This think tank was initiated in 1946 as a sophisticated organization that along with other institutions on both sides of the Atlantic shapes the destiny of the entire planet, and in the process, change the paradigm of modern society. Tavistock is directly under the council of 300 which is beneath the 13 ruling blood line families that are in essence the Illuminati.

The Rolling Stones wearing ties
being fashionably correct in the early 60s
Lyrics, were not always solely the creation of the musicians making sure that specific messages were conveyed. Those tunes that did become born at the result of creativity of the band members had to be approved by the powers that be.

Apparently The Grateful Dead was under the thumb by Tavistock's partners in the USA - The Bookings Institute, The Hudson Institute, The Princeton Institute, The RAND Research and Development Corporation, and The Stanford Research Institute.  MI6 oversees Tavistock and the CIA manages the USA think tanks.

Mick Jagger was hardly easy to manage as were the other Rolling Stones musicians. It was soon after the plea to be dressed in suits and ties that Jagger and his fellow rockers wore what they wanted, and that was not neckties.  The fashion styles that they fancied were wild and at times outrageous - a natural for such avant-garde artists as the Rolling Stones.
